Meet the Cast
Jeffrey Wright (Younger Johnny Cash) is a husband and a father of two, a local artist, and man of many talents. He enjoys painting, writing, singing and playing guitar. Jeffrey has written many of his own songs and his artwork has been sold throughout North America. His true passion lies in entertaining. Jeffrey loves to preform and feels truly rewarded when he can bring smiles to his audience. He has put his passion into his first full production , Hurt: A Tribute to the Legend, Johnny Cash and is eager to bring forth more productions in the future.
Meggy Lee (June Carter/Cash) grew up singing in church and found her passion for performing through participating in various theatre productions in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. In high school, she learned to play guitar and was a lead singer in two different bands. Meggy is now a single mom of two, returning to performing after about 6 years offstage, and writing her own songs for the first time. She is working to build a career from her passions of making music, fostering connection and community, and keeping old tunes alive.
Jaime Jacques is a graduate of the Sault College and Lakehead University Forestry programs and holds numerous professional certificates, including a designation as a Registered Professional Forester. Jaime has been playing drums for 15 years, and has written, composed and recorded music featured on CBC Radio programming. When Jaime is not working in the woods or spending time with his wife Sarah, you may find him restoring vintage drums and providing drums for several local bands around town.
A musician sired by musician who can trace his lineage back beyond Mozart. His musical talents captivate and liberate his audience. A true virtuoso, he has amazed multitudes across the globe. He creates a sound so beautiful it can entice Angels back to earth. A true master bassist – the one, the only, Marshall Jaaskelainen.
Liam Seymour (Carl Perkins) is an established musician, singer, and songwriter. Liam is a university-trained musician with a great passion for the guitar. His well earned talent has put him on stages all over Sault Ste. Marie and area. Liam is a part of many bands around Sault Ste. Marie and plays often, bringing his passion to everyone who listens.
George Wright (Older Johnny Cash) began his musical career in a 2 piece band playing clubs on the weekends. He realized he wanted more and soon had a 4 piece band playing clubs, weddings and parties. He continued his musical journey by doing television, radio and recording and in 1983 hit the road with his band Buckshot. He also toured with the Road Fever band until he came home and played locally. George now plays engagements with his son and granddaughter and some single shows. He has enjoyed a very fulfilling career and continues to enjoy his music.
